Breaktime Liftoff Work Experience
Program activities:

Liftoff is for young adults ages 18-25 who have successfully completed Breaktime’s Launchpad program. In Liftoff, young adults are placed at a partnering job site that matches participants career interest as much as possible. Participants work 20-30 hours/week, earning $20/hr for 13 weeks while receiving continued one-on-one support and resources from your Breaktime case manager. 

Job sites are diverse and are located throughout Metro Boston; transportation in the form of an MBTA Perq Pass is provided to each participant. Regular check-ins with job site supervisors as well as Breaktime case managers is required.

Skills learned and practiced in Liftoff include: refining short- and long-term career/education goals based on Liftoff experience; problem-solving at work; budgeting and financial literacy; identifying vocational/training goals and next steps.
