Certified Office Assistant
Program activities:

Students will build foundational skills and practices with a focus on technology, communication, customer service, and career preparation and navigation.

Students will participate in Microsoft Office computer applications training to learn basic file management and MS Word document preparation and integration with other applications such as MS Outlook to prepare Mail-Merge emailing.  They will learn key MS Excel functions and be able to prepare spreadsheets, read and write formulas, and create charts. Students will learn how to prepare presentations using MS Powerpoint, including the use of Slide Master, creating templates, inserting graphics, WordArt, charts and tables and linking spreadsheets, charts and documents from other applications.

Students will learn how to communicate effectively with customers (internal and external), turnaround customer complaints, successfully manage conflicts, and contribute to a positive communication climate. Confidence and comfort with the newly acquired customer service skills will be developed in this remote learning format through active participation and role playing and individual coaching.
