    Breaktime Launchpad Job Search Training
    Program activities:

    Launchpad (LP) is for young adults ages 18-25 who are currently experiencing homelessness or are at a great risk of being homeless. This 3 week in-person program teaches essential employment skills in a fun, interactive, and inclusive setting. The goal of Launchpad is to introduce young adults to to a range of career options and labor market tools. Breaktime offers Launchpad once per month. It is a cohort-based approach, and young adults are expected to show up in person for three weeks of programming.

    Launchpad takes place at 170 Portland Street in Boston (minutes from the North Station T stop) from 9am-2pm Mondays through Thursday. You will be paid a $300 stipend for each week you successfully engage in Launchpad. Additionally, an MBTA pass is also provided to participants  Skills learned and practiced in Launchpad include but are not limited to: professionalism; goal-setting; self-advocacy and telling your story; conflict resolution; time management; giving and receiving feedback; interviewing skills; resume writing, and more.

    Breaktime also offers a Virtual Launchpad program for those young adults who are not able to attend in person at our Boston site.

    Participants are all aged between 18 and 25 years old, live within the Boston area, and receive SNAP benefits.
