Pathways to Advanced Manufacturing
Program activities:

This 10-week training will prepare you for immediate employment in the booming manufacturing industry. This is an evening program that meets on weeknights from 4pm to 9:30pm.

The training will start with foundational topics such as OSHA-10, Manufacturing Math, Blueprint Reading and Metrology followed by hands-on training that covers Advanced Manufacturing principles such as CAD, CNC mill operations, and CNC lathe operations.

Job Placement Assistance will be provided through our partnership with the MassHire Franklin Hampshire Career Center.

Classes run Monday-Thursday, 4-9:30pm at GCC and Franklin County Technical School.

GCC’s manufacturing programs are offered through a partnership between GCC, Franklin County Technical School, the Franklin-Hampshire Regional Employment Board and Career Centers, area manufacturing companies and community partners to develop and implement new training programs to meet the growing demand in manufacturing.

Anticipated outcomes: OSHA-10 MACWIC Level 1 MACWIC Level 2 Students who successfully complete this training can gain immediate employment in an entry-level position as a production worker, assembly technician, or shipping and receiving clerk at a manufacturing company. Nearly 100% of GCC’s manufacturing graduates get job offers within 6 months of completing their training. Students who successfully complete this training may advance into Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Operator training.
