Jumpstart For Young Children
More than thirty years ago, four college students asked each other: What if we could offer children individualized attention before they enter kindergarten, giving them the critical academic and social skills-the ‘jumpstart’-they need to succeed? That vision has become a reality for thousands of children nationwide. Jumpstart’s program is replicated in core geographies across the country – Massachusetts, New York, Georgia & California. We leverage partnerships with higher education institutions, community organizations, Head Start programs, community-based preschools, and school districts to teach preschool-aged children the key language, literacy, and life skills that they need to be prepared for kindergarten success. Vision Every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed. Mission Jumpstart advances learning outcomes for young children by recruiting and supporting caring adults to deliver high-quality programming to children 3-5years old.
