    Links Program
    Program activities:

    Program Description: Links is a program designed for students who have attended an Adult Learning Center, completed their HiSET, GED, or have a high school diploma, and are looking to transition to college. We offer developmental and credit-bearing college classes along with intentional academic support and advising that leads to persistence through Certificate programs or Associate degrees.

    Program Design: Program cohort classes are offered in the fall and spring semesters (start and end dates prescribed by the college. Students take the courses needed for their program of study plus First Year Experience/Digital Literacy which is required by the Links Program. Classes are offered during the day, generally Tuesdays, Thursdays, and some Fridays in a Hybrid format.

    – IDS101/121: First Year Experience/Digital Literacy (2 credits)
    – IDS106: Career Explorations (1 credit)
    – ENG092: Reading, Writing, and Reasoning (6 developmental credits)
    – ENG101/109: English Composition I/Reading (6 credits)
    – MAT001: Ramp Up Math (3 developmental credits)
    – MAT177/007: Statistics/Skill Development (3 credits + 1 developmental credit)
    – PSY101: Introduction to Psychology (3 credits)
    – BIO131: General Biology (4 credits) – offered based on demand

    Participant demographics:

    Adults starting their college journey after attending an Adult Learning Center or having had a break between high school and college. Potential student must have or be completing their GED/HiSET/or diploma.

    Other Schedule Information: Scheduled time will be based on classes taken. Fall offerings: Intro to Psychology, Statistics, Bridge to College English (if needed) Spring offerings: English Comp/Critical Thinking, General Biology, Prep for College Math (if needed), Career Explorations Both semesters: First Year Experience/Digital Literacy for new students All course registrations are determined after a placement assessment and in Advising sessions. Students only take the courses required for their Program of Study. The Links Program does not offer courses over the summer but does help students register for courses and will help pay for them if possible.

    Middlesex Community College - Bedford Campus, 591 Springs Rd, Bedford, MA Bedford campus is accessible by public transportation in conjunction with MCC shuttles.
    Middlesex Community College - Lowell Campus, 33 Kearney Sq, Lowell, MALowell campus is accessible by public transportation.
    Additional information about location:

    There is also a free MCC shuttle that runs hourly between the two campus.
