The Refugee English Language Success Level 1 program is a 20-week online program for Beginner English Language Learners (taught by a live instructor). It is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of refugees seeking beginner level English.
This program aims to provide a supportive and enriching learning environment, fostering language proficiency, cultural acclimatization, and overall community integration. The program will assist refugees with a successful transition to life in the United States, secure long-term employment, transition to career skills training or continue to college credit courses. The program is geared towards Beginner level only.
Throughout the program students will receive case management services, guidance, and referrals for support services. Upon completion students can access career readiness, job interviewing, resume building and job search skills through NECC and/or MassHire. Students will also be encouraged to continue with their language studies by enrolling in a higher-level course, ESOL Supported Career Skills course or Academic ESOL.
