This part time curriculum is designed to support and enhance the language competencies developed in the core ESOL classes, which includes active listening skills, oral and written communication skills, reading comprehension and fluency, as well as vocabulary and grammar learning. Employability skills are carefully built into this curriculum, and these skills include but are not limited to goal setting, job search, job application, interview skills, and resume writing. Digital literacy skills are embedded in all levels of the curriculum. Flexibility and contextualization are key components as of the curriculum allowing for instruction that is responsive to student goals and individual language needs.

Immigrants (speakers of other languages) who reside in Massachusetts, Adult learners aged 18+ in the program come from more than 35 countries, and are currently unemployed or underemployed
