Organization Overview
The mission of The Open Door is to alleviate the impact of hunger in our community. We use practical strategies to connect people to good food, to advocate on behalf of those in need, and to engage others in the work of building food security.

Volunteer Activity
Packing grocery orders, Greeting Clients, Serving chef made Community Meals on weeknights in our dining room.
Volunteer Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8am-6pm, with occasional weekend opportunities. Shifts occur in 2 hour increments. Volunteers may sign up for 2 shifts/week.
Other Volunteer Information
Volunteers will need to make an account and register for a 2 hour Volunteer Orientation. In Orientation we go over our mission, our many programs and the volunteer opportunities available. We do CORI checks and then take a tour of the facility.
