The Salem Pantry
The Salem Pantry distributes free food throughout the Northshore. They serve approximately 3,500 individual families a month and have approximately 10,000 visits to their markets. The Salem Pantry operates a warehouse and serves as a cross dock for the Greater Boston Food Banks, serving 19 other pantries and service organizations across the North Shore. To distribute food to the community, the organization has a storefront that is open 20 hours a week, Tuesday through Saturday, and a Mobile Pantry Truck that operates 16 markets a week in Salem and the surrounding communities. Finally, Salem Pantry provides groceries directly to the doors of a number of homebound residents in Salem.
