The iCater Food Services Job Training Program is a 24-week, paid, hands-on culinary arts and workforce readiness program offered by Pine Street Inn. The program is designed to help individuals experiencing homelessness build the skills, confidence, and experience needed to secure and maintain meaningful employment. Trainees participate in hands-on training sessions with industry professionals, as well as workshops that address digital literacy, mindfulness skills, job readiness, the ServSafe Food Handlers certification, and more. An Employment & Stabilization Specialist provides one on one support to each trainee, guiding them through career discovery, resume writing, job applications, and onboarding into employment. The Employment & Stabilization Specialist will continue to follow up with and support graduates for up to two years. The iCater Food Services Job Training Program’s comprehensive curriculum provides hands-on experience coupled with core learning competencies for success in the workplace.

During the internship phase (weeks 9-24), trainees have the opportunity to receive 40 hours of on-the-job training, combined with 1 hour of job search and continued career discovery with their case manager per week.
