Computer Essentials is an interactive, multimedia-driven course designed for beginners to understand how computers work. It covers hardware, software, operating systems, and file management using audio narration, simulations, and quizzes, often utilized in workforce development and education.
Non-native speakers enrolled in this course will receive an additional three hours of ESOL instruction focused on strengthening proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking to support their success in the core class.

Content class: 2 days/week for 10 weeks
ESOL support class: 1 day/week for 10 weeks (for non-native speakers only)
If you're a non-native English speaker, you must pre-test at SPL 5+
Students who complete the program successfully will have the opportunity to join the IC3 Series Certification Training program. | Successful completers will also be invited to the Center for Adult Education Graduation on June 2027 to receive a Northern Essex Community College Certificate of Completion. | Stackable Credential(s) | Employment/Promotion | Basic skills gain | Industry skills gain
