The CustomerFIRST (Customer-Focused Industry-Recognized Sales Training) Program teaches job readiness, customer service and sales skills.
The program is for:
Immigrants with intermediate English proficiency (Fluent English speakers will be referred to other programs)
Unemployed or underemployed low-income adults
Residents of the Greater Boston area
Class topics:
Retail fundamentals,
Customer service,
Sales,
Finding and applying to jobs online,
Preparing resumes and other application materials, and
Interviewing for jobs.
Participants will also meet weekly with a career counselor to receive one-on-one job placement services.
Credential: National Retail Federation's RiseUP Retail Fundamentals Certificate (must pass the exam).

Participants must be 1) adult immigrants with intermediate English proficiency, 2) residents of Greater Boston, 3) low-income, and 4) authorized to work in the U.S.
