What is Bridges to College & Careers Biotechnology Program?
A 22-week program that prepares students for college while building community and saving them money utilizing a partnership with Quincy Community College. Bridges to College & Careers (BTCC) is available to students of all ages, and from all over the world and emphasizes education for in-demand, living-wage careers. Bridges graduates consistently place into college level classes and provide a supportive environment to help you build confidence!
Teachers and coaches give you individual attention in small classes and by appointment. Working together, we will get your academic skills where they need to be!

Students have individual appointments with Instructors, Academic, Career & Financial Coaching weekly as needed.
Academic classes meet Monday-Thursday from 9:00-12:00 or 4:00 - 7:00. Career Development classes meet Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 12:00 -2:00.
JVS classes are canceled during the February and April school breaks. JVS also follows the Boston Public Schools for snow emergencies. If BPS is closed, JVS classes are canceled.

ArLab and Quincy College are accessible via public transit through the MBTA
The JVS Bridges to College Program is completely remote and taught over ZOOM.
Following successful completion of this portion, students matriculate to Quincy College for in-person learning that is held at ArLab, 122 Arlington Street in Boston or at at Quincy College, 1250 Hancock Street, Quincy, Ma 02169. Both of these locations have public transit accessibility through the MBTA.
