Find a Provider Find free SNAP Path to Work education and training opportunities near you. DTA partners with community colleges, MassHire Career Centers, and community-based organizations across the state.
Skills Training: This intensive program includes both classroom and on-site construction training. Classes include OSHA 10 certification, CPR certification, and NCCER training. Work-site training includes construction techniques in both rehabilitation and new construction. All instruction includes “green” training techniques. Training is designed to lead to full-time construction positions, apprenticeship opportunities in union-level jobs, weatherization technician positions, and other related employment.
Academic Training: Provides 6-9 months of programming preparing to take and pass, the HiSET exams to earn their High School Equivalency Credential. Additionally, participants participate in a life skills curriculum aimed at developing work readiness skills (communication, teamwork, etc.), job development, financial literacy, and service-learning and receive case management, success coaching, and supportive services throughout their time in the program, as well as post-program.

Participants rotate academic and vocational Instruction, participating in one, every other week.

Anticipated outcomes
HiSET Certificate, OSHA 10, First Aid/ CPR certification, NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) Certification, Employment/Promotion|Industry skills gain, Successful participants are eligible for dual enrollment at local community colleges and can move on to advanced training or entry-level jobs in the field.
