Program Activities

Upon completion of our Medical Interpreter Certificate Program, our post-graduation supports include:

One-on-one career coaching, job search/application assistance (resume writing, mock interviews), and direct job placement
Monthly Alumnae Association, exclusive weekly jobs digest, Professional Development Scholarships, continuing education workshops

Graduates of our medical interpreter program work with our expert workforce development staff to apply for entry level positions, attend job trainings, enhance professional development, and develop leadership skills. We publish an exclusive weekly Jobs Digest for our graduates, with links to the latest job opportunities in the interpreting, medical and bilingual worker fields.

Our Alumnae Association meets monthly and serves as an additional way for continued engagement and provide ongoing support, networking opportunities and professional development training to our graduates in a group setting.

Participants

Found in Translation's program is available to low income, bilingual women in the greater Boston area. Participants range in age from 18-70+, and approximately half identify as single mothers. Our Language Access Fellows represent 50 different countries of origin and are speakers of 54 different languages.
