The PCA curriculum was developed by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services and MassHealth.
In addition, two other components have been added to the curriculum.
The Personal Care Attendant Certificate is divided in three sections:
1. The PCA fundamentals is the component where students learn about the requirements needed to successfully demonstrate basic caregiver skills with an emphasis on consumer safety
2. The Workforce Readiness is the section where students are prepared to find employment in the field
3. Medical Terminology is a critical component of the vocabulary building to improve learners understanding in the medical sector

The MVRTA Buckley Transportation Center is located at 295 Common St, Lawrence, MA 01840, just behind GLCAC building. 98 East Haverhill St is also accessible by public transportation.
