Participants
Classes are open to participants who don't have a high school diploma, or whose Reading, Writing, or Math skills are not at a high school level, and who need to gain skills to pursue a personal, work, or educational goal.

Classes are open to adults of any age and out-of-school youth ages 16 and older.
Classes meet in-person in our classrooms in downtown Northampton, and there is one class that meets in Easthampton. Classes run September through May each year (no classes in the summer), and meet for 5 or 8 hours a week depending on which class you are in.
New students can enroll in the ongoing classes each month, September through April, as space permits. An intake meeting is the first step to enroll in a class. Take a look at our website: The Literacy Project Northampton here.
The Literacy Project is closed for summer break until August 26th. Classes start the first week of September, and new students are enrolled each month.
