Job Readiness Training covers the basic soft skills needed to prepare job seekers for successful employment application, including resume clinics, mock interviews, job research training, and how to apply. Job readiness skills will focus on building teamwork, effective communication, problem-solving, work ethics, flexibility, adaptability and interpersonal skills.
Job Coaching is provided through individualized coaching, group trainings, and workshops. We support members in updating resumes, identifying transferable skills, pursuing training or education as needed, improving English skills, and applying for jobs that offer economic stability.
Job Placement provides support for individuals as they search for good fit job opportunities, submit applications, and prepare for job interviews. La Colaborativa maintains a list of local employers who are hiring, including many that struggle to find work-ready employees for their industry.
La Colaborativa hosts Job Days at our office during which employers who are actively hiring come to our office and interview candidates for employment.
