Job search training and job placement services are provided to all Teaching Kitchen culinary training program participants. Current trainees participate in 5 hours each week of "Job Lab" in a classroom based setting, wherein they work on online employment applications, participate in mock interviews, and learn about employers that are hiring. At times field trips are taken to participate in job fairs and other hiring events. Upon graduation from the Teaching Kitchen program, job search participants continue meeting at least once each week with the Employment Specialist to continue to pursue permanent employment in a professional kitchen.
