Individuals experiencing homelessness, housing instability, and very low-income individuals
Clients attend daily classroom-based training in order to build the documents necessary to implement a successful job search. This includes, but is not limited to, developing a resume, writing a cover letter, reference sheet, and thank you letter. All clients have access to a computer-lab and also take an in-person computer class to learn basic technology skills and complete job search documents. Throughout programming, clients develop skills around professionalism within the workplace.
The classroom provides the opportunity for learning alongside peers and building community and learn the skills to succeed in the modern workplace. Clients will also have individual assignments and personal goals they are working toward. Teachers provide individualized feedback and guidance. Additionally, each client is matched with a case manager to support their overall progress.
